ALEX RETURNS TO KARTMASTERS
Young Cornish karting star Alex Quinn will be making a return to UK competition this summer for the annual 'Kartmasters Grand Prix' hosted at PF International over a 3 day race weekend, where competitors battle it out for the coveted 'GP' Plates in each of the racing classes.
Alex will competing in the newly formed Junior X30 Class, using a CRG KT2 Chassis and engines provides by John Davies at Force Motorsport.
After completing some promising testing at the circuit in the Junior X30 (JX30) configuration, there are positive vibes going into the Kartmasters weekend which kicks off on the 30th July, and finishes on the 2nd August where the Finals take place and the 'GP' Plates are awarded.
Alex has a fantastic record at the PF International Circuit over the previous seasons:
In 2013, whilst competing in Comer and Iame Cadets, Alex managed to hit the podium in the British Super One Championships, take victory in the Inaugural Iame Cadet British Open Championship and even winning the Kartmasters Grand Prix at the same track.
2014 saw Alex take 2nd position in the final round of the Super One British Championship hosted at PFi, aswell as competing in both the Minimax and Junior Max categories at Kartmasters, where he achieved 2nd and 8th positions respectively after a grueling weekend of no less than 20 sessions across both classes!
This will be the second time this season Alex has infact raced at PFi, as he made his return to the track earlier this season for the second round of the CIK-FIA European Championships in KF-Junior.
Alex was competing for victory the entire weekend, finishing 2nd in the Grand Final and achieving his first European Championship podium in KF-Junior.
Alex's history at the track will see him as a contender.
Looking ahead to Kartmasters, being on equipment Alex knows well from this season, allied with the hugely experience John Davies, who has been supplying race and championship winning engines for over a decade should give Alex the tools required to challenge for Kartmasters honors once again, as he bids to further extend his accolades at the PF International Circuit.
Live timing is available all weekend via the TVKC Kartmasters dedicated website. The link to this website is attached here.
"I'm really looking forward to this race and the atmosphere! I hope to be fighting for the win as in the past two years I've been on the podium at this event in Cadet and Minimax"
