DOUBLE DNF FOR QUINN AT CROFT
Alex Quinn’s run of bad luck in north Yorkshire continued as his second race of the weekend ended following shortly after the opening turn.
The Racing Steps Foundation-backed driver, who was unable to finish Saturday’s opening race following contact with other drivers on the final lap, started from 12th place.
From the off, Quinn avoided any contact from drivers around him, but out of the opening turn, found himself in the path of Fortec Motorsports team-mate Frank Bird, who had been spun around following contact with the JHR machine of Sennan Fielding.
It left Quinn with nowhere to go, and he collided with the rear of Bird, his car vaulting up onto the engine cover of Bird.
Arden's Luis Leeds scored race victory ahead of race one victor Zane Goddard. Carlin's new championship leaer Max Fewtrell took third place.
Quinn will line up for the third and final race of the weekend, having qualified earlier on Saturday, from fourth place on the grid.
