QUINN STARTS FOURTH AT CROFT
Alex Quinn will begin the opening race of the F4 British Championship weekend at Croft from fourth place on the grid.
The Fortec Motorsports rookie driver headed into the weekend after taking part in a recent official test day at the north Yorkshire circuit, his first sighting of the track.
Having challenged for pole position throughout the qualifying sessions so far this season, the Racing Steps Foundation-backed driver was unable to do so on this occasion, unable to break into the top three positions.
His best time, a 1m 21.066s however was good enough to place him on the second row of the grid alongside Carlin’s Max Fewtrell.
His second best time was also good enough for a fourth place start in the third and final race of the weekend on Sunday.
Double R Racing’s Australian driver Zane Goddard scored pole position for the opening race with Carlin’s Devlin DeFrancesco alongside. Goddard, DeFrancesco, Fewtrell and Quinn will all begin race three from the same position.
